In fact, the cleaner was picked out by our judging panel as the standout motorhome cleaning product on the market for three consecutive years, as it topped the category at the 2022, 2023 and 2024 Awards.

It featured again in our 2025 Awards too, with it impressing us enough to be shortlisted for the best motorhome accessory category. What do we like about it? Well, it does exactly what you would want from an effective motorhome cleaner, making the removal of winter algae and black streaks an effortless task. The application process is simple too – another big plus in our book – requiring the exterior to be wetted before spraying the cleaner, agitating the surface, and then rinsing it off.

This is a trait that we think is particularly useful, as it means it is far less likely to damage your motorhome.

The cleaner has been designed to make the removal of dirt such as grime, green algae and streaks a simple process. We also like how the motorhome cleaning product can be used on a wide variety of surfaces, including acrylic windows, fibreglass, decals, GRP and more. This is a handy trait to have in a cleaner, saving you from having to stock up on a wide selection of products when you want to spruce up your ‘van.

One thing worth factoring in is that it comes in a one-litre bottle with a more traditional ‘jerry can’ style lid, compared to the spray top lid seen in the equivalent size of its Autoglym counterpart.

Our favourite feature with this Rhino Goo! cleaner is that it is formulated to help prevent future growth of algae – we think this is a highly useful trait as it should to make the motorhome cleaning process that bit more time-efficient when you next come to do it.

Providing an effective method for getting rid of black streaks and algae, the cleaner has the further benefit of having a hydrophobic wax finish, which helps it repel water. We also like that it’s a biodegradable option, and one that is safe for use on acrylic, rubber, aluminium and glass fibre. However, both the Autoglym and Fenwick cleaners for motorhomes can be used on a wider range of surfaces, including inside your ‘van.

The Rhino Goo! cleaner is a more premium offering than some of the other options in our guide as well, but we like how it should last a long time – a five-litre bottle can make up to 50 litres, giving you some longevity, so long as you have the room to store it.

Dirtbusters Premium Caravan Motorhome Wash & Wax with Carnauba Wax

Size: 5-litre

We think this Dirtbusters Wash & Wax Motorhome Cleaner is a great choice for those ‘van owners who want to give their home-on-wheels some extra protection during the cleaning process.

This is achieved by the Carnauba Wax that it comes with, which forms water beading and subsequently provides extra protection for the paintwork.

While it cannot be used on as many surfaces as the Autoglym and Fenwick’s options can, the manufacturer advises that it’s suitable for use on paint finishes, glass, chrome and alloy wheels, with the cleaner able to get rid of muck, grease and oil deposits that can build-up on our ‘vans.

While it requires mixing to use, the five-litres can make up to 1000 litres of shampoo, with only two capfuls needed per bucket.

Silky Deep Cleaner

We like how it should be fairly straightforward to use too – simply apply it, let it settle for 30 seconds, before agitating it and then washing it off. However, we should point out that unlike the Autoglym and Fenwick options, it’s only suitable for use on the exterior of your motorhome.

After use, however, the end result will be a ‘van that is free of grime and one that can be toured in with pride.

We’d always recommend spending a bit more to buy from a reputable brand as it will not only save you time but also help you conserve your energy when you’re cleaning your ‘van. They may be a bit more expensive but should last for a few years.

Make sure the cleaner you have in mind will be suitable for the surfaces you want to use it on too. You don’t want to inadvertently damage your motorhome while trying to bring some sparkle back to its paintwork. As well as this, you may find some can be used on both the exterior and interior of your ‘van, while others are dedicated exterior cleaners.

We’d also recommend factoring in the size of the product when you’re storing it too. Some products come in five-litre bottles – would you have room to keep these and be okay lifting them up?
