An Essex-based campervan conversion company was named the National Service Excellence Award Winner at the HSBC UK Small Business Growth Awards last week.
The Award was presented to the campervan converter by Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies MBE at an event held at the Savoy on 4th June.
Vanlife Conversions is a campervan conversion company which produces bespoke models which cater to fans of off-grid campervanning, with the ‘vans all suitable for living in full-time, as well as providing a base where remote working can be done and memories made.
The converter produces three signature layouts, the Kunu (pictured above), the Milo and the Rudi, with plenty of customisation available and the option of gas-free models for those who want to enjoy some eco-friendly campervanning.

The company, which was founded by husband and wife Ali and Emily Arnold, had previously been named the regional winner for the East of England in April. The Service Excellence Awards provide recognition to the businesses which go the extra mile for customers, with the judges commending how Vanlife Conversions takes an incredibly personalised approach. This includes base vehicles being sourced, detailed visual design proposals, and online portals to provide updates, as well as ongoing support following the delivery of the ‘van.
Speaking after receiving the award, Director Oli Arnold said: “Our business has always been built around people. We don’t just build campervans; we help our clients create the lifestyle they’ve dreamed of.”
“Every member of our team genuinely cares about delivering an exceptional experience, from the first enquiry through to years after handover. This award is a reflection of their hard work, dedication and commitment to our customers.”
In other recent converter news, Westfalia is launching two new Fiat-based high-top campervans for 2027, which come with flexible sleeping arrangements at the rear to offer plenty of storage.
Camperking has also announced it is releasing a new VW T7-based campervan which will come with a pop-up roof and three seats in the back, with prices starting from £59,500.
