I’m going to be honest here – as the editor of Practical Motorhome, I’ve spent far too much money over the years on bits and pieces of kit to take on tour.
Particularly during Amazon’s popular Prime Day sales, it’s really easy to be tempted by those bits of kit which look good on screen, and which appear to be a great deal, but which get put in a locker (or worse, in your garage at home) never to see the light of day again.
So this Prime Day event – which runs from 23-26 June – I’m going to reveal the gadgets and gizmos that I’ve spotted on Amazon that I think look like bargains, and which (perhaps most importantly), I reckon you’ll want to use time and again.

Portable camping table was £19.99 now £15.99 (save 20%)
I think this looks like a great little product – ideal for keeping in your motorhome ready for whenever you need it. It’s a small, highly portable aluminium table that folds down neatly into a bag when not in use, but I think it would be super handy when you’re sitting outside the ‘van – perfect for resting a cold drink or book on. It weighs just 850 grams, so you could even pack it away in a rucksack for use during walks, but the tabletop itself is still a really good size, at 40 x 35cm.

Maypole Froli 3-Part Levelling Ramp Set was £14.39 now £12.23 (save 15%)
I always carry levelling ramps when I’m away in the motorhome – they’re incredibly useful for making your stay onsite more comfortable. Maypole is a well-known manufacturer of touring kit, so I think this looks like a product that will come in very handy. The three-part set features not only the ramp itself – with a rise height of 80mm – but also a lead-in plate (to make driving onto the ramp easier) and a wheel chock. The pack here only includes one set of each, but this looks like a good price so I’d be very tempted to buy a pair.

Jackery Explorer 240 v2 Portable Power Station was £199 now £151 (save 24%)
I have a Jackery portable power station which I use every tour, so I think this would make an excellent buy. This version is smaller than the one I have but, but I reckon it should prove really handy for keeping gadgets charged, ready for whenever you need them – particularly if you like touring off-grid.
The 256Wh LiFePO4 power unit features five power output ports of various types (including 100W fast USB-C charging), allowing you to charge multiple devices simultaneously, and takes just a couple of hours to charge via mains (or three hours via a solar panel, which is available separately). The unit also has a built-in light, and the whole thing can be monitored and operated via Bluetooth and your phone.

Spopal Portable Shower was £28.49 now £22.99 (save 19%)
I have a mud-loving golden retriever, so this product is a no-brainer for me, but I think it would be brilliant for multiple other applications, including hosing off dirty boots or using as an outdoor shower during hot weather. Simply fill a foldable bucket or other container with the temperature that you want the shower to be (the unit doesn’t have a heating facility), pop the pump in and your shower is ready – after a full charge (via USB-C), it should run for at least two hours. Handily, there’s even an LED display showing battery level and water temperature.

Wall Mounted Shoe Racks was £19.79 now £15.14 (save 23%)
I’ve always found shoe storage to be a problem on tour – you either need to dedicate a locker or cupboard to stowing them, or leave them by the door, both of which take up valuable space. So I reckon these shoe racks should be super handy – simply attach them to a cupboard wall via either self-adhesive pads or screws, and they will keep your shoes tidy, ready for when you need them. I really like that this is a four-pack, too, so you could potentially stow them in various locations, including in the wardrobe and elsewhere.
