Kampa unveils a comprehensive rebrand and new product line-up at the NEC

Tent and drive-away awning specialist Kampa unveiled a comprehensive rebrand and new product line-up at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show, with a major consumer campaign launching this year.

The February NEC Show can be a great chance to not only browse the latest leisure vehicle releases, but also provide an opportunity to get some new motorhome upgrades and tour-enhancing accessories, such as one of the best campervan awnings.

Repositioning itself as a tent and shelter specialist, Kampa’s new range includes some of the robust, high-end materials used in the more technical market, with features and technologies such as siliconised ripstop materials and aluminium poles, in combination with regular camping creature comforts such as storage pockets and cable entry points.

Taking centre stage was the brand-new MOD 250, a freestanding shelter that can be used on its own or in combination with other modules (hence the name ‘mod’) and accessories, including driveway tunnels to latch onto campervans. There’s also an SUV connection, along with the possibility of adding sleeping annexes.

In small tents, the brand-new Stargazer was getting plenty of attention. This is Kampa’s new take on the trad A-frame tent (available in two and three berths), with a full-length side opening for warm nights and a 21st-century nod to past successes.

Kampa was also showing a full range of driveway awnings. We liked the look of the inflatable Roam Air, a lightweight, easy-pitch driveway awning with a front door and removable side panels and a connection height of 180–210cm. For something larger, the Voyage Air is also an inflatable drive-away awning, with access from the front or rear and with a four-berth inner tent.

In other Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show news, campervan converter Bilbo’s is offering an Anker power station as an option with its campervan range, with the gadgets providing a useful extra source of power on tour.
