The Rapido C66 Optimum Line made its Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show debut last week (17-22 February).
Coming on a Fiat base vehicle, the ‘van could be worth a look if you’re a fan of motorhomes with fixed single beds. It’s also a compact in its name refers to its width of 2.17m, which should make the driving experience a simpler prospect, rather than its length of 6.99m.
Rapido are calling it a “2+1” motorhome, as it comes with an extra berth that can be made up in the bright and airy front lounge, while it then comes with a central kitchen and washroom, and then, at the rear, the fixed single beds can be found.

The C66 Optimum Line comes with a generous spec, including an automatic gearbox, 2000w inverter, a 149-litre compressor fridge, a 150W solar panel, a 150Ah lithium battery, and a factory-fitted awning.

It also comes with gadgets that will ensure you don’t have to forego home comforts when you’re pitched up on tour, with it coming with a hair dryer, a coffee maker and a vacuum cleaner.
Other features include all-season tyres, an integrated rear-view camera, 16″ light alloy rims, and a Truma Combi 4 diesel CP Plus heating system.
Providing a 475kg payload, the motorhome has a starting price of £81,600, with the model on display at the NEC priced at £85,590 due to the optional Lounge Pack (£850), the LED Assist Pack (£1,050) and the Safety+ Pack (£1,510).
It was not the only motorhome to debut at the show last week, with a new coachbuilt from the rebranded Joa by Pilote on display. The 75QB is a 7.4m-long motorhome with an L-shaped front lounge, a central washroom, and a rear inline island bed.
Auto-Trail also had its new end washroom F67 debut, bringing the total of models in the Ford Transit-based F-Line range up to six.
