Having been voted our Regional Winner for Cornwall for a highly commendable five years in a row, Silver Sands Holiday Park can rightfully call itself the best motorhome site in Cornwall.
The campsite, which was also recently awarded a five-star AA rating, sits in nine acres of beautiful countryside on the Lizard Peninsula. For 2026, the campsite has upgraded its shower and toilet facilities, while it also offers picnic tables, a laundrette and EV charging.

The campsite caters to visitors of all ages, with a play area for children, where a sand pit, grassy area and wooden play area can be found. Silver Sands is also canine-friendly, good news for those who are motorhoming with a dog.
Embark on the 1km walk through woodland to reach the beautiful Kennack Sands or take to the South West Coast Path and explore the breathtaking vistas that the Cornish coastline provides. Other destinations that can be discovered include beautiful Kynance Cove and tranquil Helford River; alternatively, visit Porthleven and Falmouth.

Found by the fishing village of Polruan, this peaceful campsite offers motorhomers a peaceful base for visiting well-known Cornish destinations such as the Eden Project, Looe, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Polperro. That’s not all – Polruan is only 200m from the South West Coast Path, meaning guests can expect plenty of stunning coastal views.
The site itself extends for three acres and many of its pitches, which are spread over three fields, will offer coastal views. Polruan Holidays has won a number of David Bellamy Gold Conservation Awards over the years, with nesting boxes and bird feeders dotted around. The site also does its bit to encourage wildlife by planting seasonal and wildflowers.
Amenities include free Wi-Fi, an information room and a library, and a laundry room, while for younger members of the touring party, there is a play area.

This family-friendly campsite allows visitors to enjoy a tranquil 12-acre getaway with plenty of facilities on-site to keep everyone entertained.
Relax by the outdoor heated pool and make the most of the poolside waiter service, or head to the tennis court; for younger members of the touring party, there is an adventure playground too. There are now two cafés, with the second one dog-friendly.
Other amenities include a well-maintained toilet and shower block, a shop, and a new addition for 2026, a dedicated dog wash.
The site is also well situated for visiting a number of beaches, as well as attractions such as The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.

Motorhomers who want to enjoy an adults-only getaway in Cornwall could decide Trethem Mill is the campsite for them.
Providing guests with spacious pitches, the 12-acre site is a well-placed base for trips to Truro, St Austell, Porthscatho, and St Mawes. St Just in Roseland is only 1.25 miles away as well.
On-site itself, there is a three-acre dog walk, an outdoor chessboard, free Wi-Fi, a licensed shop, and a modern facilities block. Each of the campsite’s pitches not only comes with 16-amp electric hook up, but also a picnic table, while the majority come with individual hedging.
