Warmco fan

We quite like the look of this Warmco fan, a battery-powered gadget which could run for two days on low speed or for 15 hours on its highest speed setting. It has a 20,000mAh battery, and we’re impressed by its compact size (it’s only 21cm wide and has a depth of 4.5cm) and weight of 780g, so you could fit it in your bag if you’re heading out for the day. With a foldable stand, you can set it up while you’re working in your ‘van, or use its hanging hook to position it overhead. We like its versatility too, which sees it double up as an LED light and also act as a phone charger.

Coleman Xtreme 70QT

Coleman Xtreme 70QT was £119.75 now £97.19 (save 19%)

Nothing beats a cold drink on a hot day, which is where a cool box can come in. There are some good savings to be had on Coleman cool boxes at the moment, including on the 70QT, which is reduced by 19%. Providing a 66-litre capacity and weighing 5kg, this cool box will ensure you have a ready supply of refreshing drinks while you’re pitched up, something which will come in particularly handy if you’re day tripping to the beach, are heading to a festival, or don’t have enough fridge space. The lid, which usefully doubles up as a seat, is able to take up to 113kg, and thanks to its PU foam insulation, simply add ice, and it should keep your drinks cool for up to five days. If you want a smaller capacity, the 47-litre 50QT is also currently reduced to £89.99 (a 25% saving) over Prime.

Warmco Portable Handheld Fan 5000mAh was £29.98 now £23.71 (save 21%)

So you’re covered for when you’re in your ‘van, but what if you’re venturing out? We like the look of this handheld fan from Warmco, too. It’s incredibly portable, weighing only 0.17kg, and could either be stored in a pocket or worn via its lanyard around your neck. Thanks to its 5000mAh battery, it will give you between six and 18 hours of use, with its screen allowing you to keep track of its current status. You can set it between 1 and 100 to ensure it meets your needs at the time. It’s currently reduced by 21% to bring it down to £23.71 over Prime.

The EcoFlow Wave 3

EcoFlow Wave 3 with 1024Wh extra battery was £1299 now £1,099 (save 15%)

While undoubtedly a premium-priced product, we like the look of this EcoFlow product. It comes with the add-on battery, which we think makes it of interest to those who want a portable air conditioning unit that they could use at home and then take in their ‘van – just be sure to carefully consider where you set it up before use. EcoFlow says it should lower the temperature by 8°C in only 15 minutes. The add-on battery can be charged up in a variety of ways (we’d recommend via solar or alternator charger instead of mains hook-up) to provide up to eight hours of cordless use. We also like that this is an all-year-round gadget, as it can also be used to increase the heat by 9°C and also provides a dehumidification setting. Just make sure you have the payload for the weight of the air conditioning unit (15.6kg) and the add-on battery (9.7kg)

The Spopal Portable Shower

Spopal Portable Shower was £26.99 now £22.94 (save 15%)

This could be particularly useful if your ‘van doesn’t have dedicated shower facilities, you’re coming back from the beach, or perhaps want to cool your dog down. It runs on a 6000mAh battery, and is able to work for up to 120-150 minutes from a full charge. It relies on a USB-C charging cable, and while it doesn’t heat the water, it should help you cool down. To use, just fill a container with water at the temperature you want it at, add the pump in, and you’re then ready to go. Helpfully, it even comes with an LED display to show the battery level and water temperatures.

The 4.5 tog duvet is also non-allergenic, and it measures 200x200cm. Then, at the end of your tour, it will be easy to give it a freshen up as it’s machine washable.
