New Bailey Ascent makes its debut at the Motorhome & Caravan Show

Bristol manufacturer Bailey’s brand new Ascent range of coachbuilt motorhomes is making its public debut in the halls of the NEC this week.

There are five models in the line-up, which are debuting on the Bailey stand at the Motorhome & Caravan Show this week (13-18 October).

This includes two new floorplans, and the other three of which feature layouts that have been taken from other popular models within Bailey’s stable. All five models are based on the Ford Transit, with a 165bhp engine and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

One of the most popular of the five Ascent models is likely to be the four-berth, rear-washroom 69-4 TS (from £82,999): unusually, this is a motorhome with fixed single beds that drop down over the front lounge. They can be operated independently, too, giving plenty of flexibility.

The second new layout is the two-berth 64-2 (from £79,799); this is a rear lounge motorhome with a double bed that drops down from above, as well as a central washroom and kitchen. It’s the most compact model in the Ascent line-up, at 6.45m in length.

The trio of returning models starts with the four-berth 69-4 (from £81,899), the floorplan of which is taken from the Adamo line-up. It has a good-sized kitchen paired with a roomy rear washroom and a front lounge.

The four-berth 75-4T (£82,949), meanwhile, has a washroom that’s split across the centre of the vehicle, as well as twin single beds at the rear and a front lounge.

Finally, the four-berth 75-4DL (£83,999) has plenty of room to relax in its pair of lounges, one in the front and one in the rear. It also features two drop-down double beds.

Joining the new Ascent range in debuting at the NEC is the Broadway IB LXV, the first Auto-Sleepers model in the Broadway range to feature an island bed. The ‘van is part of a four-model LXV 65th anniversary range.
