The Malibu Relax 640 LE XR has made its debut at the Motorhome and Caravan Show this week.
The Relax range was introduced by Malibu last season where it was launched with the aim of creating an entry point for the premium brand’s luxurious campervans.
The new addition to the line-up, which is joining the Relax 640 LE R which debuted last season, is 6.36m and comes on a Fiat Ducato base vehicle, which is in the discussion for the best van for a camper conversion.

The new campervan, which is priced as standard at £57,410, comes with a bed that is more than 2m long on the passenger’s side and 188cm on the driver’s side, and has the added flexibility of being electronically operated, so it can be raised to provide headroom of up to 1.45m beneath.

This could provide a useful space either for storage of outdoor gear for activity-loving ‘van owners, for instance.
The campervan will also be available in three different equipment levels, which includes the Active (which provides only essential equipment), Ambition (which offers additional useful touring kit), and Exclusive (which comes with more luxurious gear).
The ‘van includes an 84-litre fridge, a worktop extension, and some good storage drawers in the kitchen, while the washroom includes an anthracite shower tray and 1.86m of headroom.
While a two-berth as standard, it is available with an optional pop-top roof, and can be driven on a standard licence.
Another new campervan to be debuting at the NEC this week is the Bürstner Habiton HMX 6.1. The Sprinter-based vehicle has four-wheel-drive and instead of the sliding washroom seen in the 6.0, comes with a washroom with a fold-out basin.
