Westfalia is launching two new campervans for the 2027 season that both make full use of the rear of the van to provide a flexible living and sleeping space.
The two campervans come on a Fiat base vehicle, which is among the best vans for a camper conversion, and form the new Nansen range. They are named, like many Westfalia campervans, after famous explorers, in this case, Norwegian polar explorer Fridtjof Nansen.
The four-berth Nansen 600L features two double bunk beds at the back that are completely removable to allow for maximum campervan storage. It also includes a toilet area in the middle that can be extended outwards to create a transverse washroom and a storage “column” that includes an upper cupboard, a large central wardrobe, two large lower drawers and a shelving unit.

You also get a 95-litre fresh water tank and 85-litre waste water tank, while the kitchen includes a 90-litre compressor fridge and a two-burner gas hob. The van, which will be available from September, costs from £67,490 OTR.
The longer Nansen 640LS, meanwhile, is a two berth campervan with a shower and toilet, coming with a longitudinal drop-down double bed at the back. This can be raised up 1.6m high to allow for easier access to the side storage areas, which include sliding wardrobes, and to hold sporting equipment and bikes.

This area has checkerplate flooring. The model also features a washroom with a swinging partition.

The kitchen includes a 157-litre compressor fridge. Also available from September, the van costs from £69,990 OTR.
The German converter, which has been part of the Rapido Group since 201o, has also upgraded two other models for the 2027 season.
Kipling models get new two-tone upholstery, Dometic cab blinds and an Eberspächer diesel heater. Kelsey models get the same, plus a 240° opening canvas in the pop-up roof.
For those who like Fiat-based ‘vans, another range to consider is the Ace 1200 line-up, which launched at the February NEC show. There are three models in the range, with prices starting from £59,805.
Another new release has seen Camperking launch a new vw T7-based campervan. The T7 Go! is available on both a short wheelbase and a long wheelbase, and prices start from £59,500.
